Chikita Beach is a relaxed beachside restaurant on Playa Istmito (La Cabaña Beach) in Bocas del Toro, close to Saigon Bay Bed and Breakfast. It serves local Caribbean cooking with a Spanish twist, and it is a lovely spot for a long lunch with your feet in the sand.
The house favorite is guacho de mariscos, a rich seafood rice stew full of Caribbean spices. The sopa de tortilla is a comforting choice, and seafood lovers can order whole fried fish or pulpo a la gallega, a Spanish-style octopus dish. There are also simple plates of chicken, beef, rice, beans and fresh salads, plus cold beers to enjoy with the sea breeze.
Chikita Beach is open every day from 11:30am to 8pm. Hours can change in low season, so it is worth asking us before you go. For an easy beach lunch close to home, it is one of the most convenient restaurants in Bocas del Toro for our guests.
